Vondelpark is one of Amsterdam's biggest parks and lies in the middle of the city. During the summer it's especially pleasant to spend time here. People stretch out on their towels to enjoy the sun or bring along a tasty picnic. Cycling through park is also very pleasant and if you want to make a sporty afternoon of it, there are skates for hire. Various theatre productions, plays, and dance performances are staged in the open air theatre during the summer months. You can watch them every Wednesday to Sunday, completely free of charge! See the website below for further information.
