Red Rock Rally

© Red Rock Rally 2015
This festival was originally founded by young socialists to make 1 May, Labour Day, more attractive to the youth. In those days the organizers had no money to hire bands and therefore decided to hold a competition. Bands could sign up for the heats and the winners would get to take the stage on 1 May. Except for the fact that the competition has become incredibly popular and the organizers can now afford to pay one or two famous artists, nothing much has changed. Public awareness of Labour Day may not have improved, but it certainly swings!
