House of the Black Madonna

The House of the Black Madonna is also known as the Czech Museum of Fine Arts. The building was designed by the Czech architect Josef Gocar. His brief was to design a department store, but it's now one of the most beautiful spots in Prague! The third and fourth floors house Prague's small but impressive Museum of Cubism. Works by various young Czech artists from the period 1911 to 1991 are exhibited as well. You'll also come across drawings, paintings and sculptures by Pavel Jank and Gocar himself.
