Giorgione’s owner, Giorgio Deluca, was one of the founders of gourmet supermarket ‘Dean and Deluca’. By offering fresh, tasty produce and products, Giorgio unleashed a mini revolution in New York’s supermarkets. That same urge to find the perfect ingredients can be found in his restaurant and among his chefs. The thin-crust pizzas and the Sicilian meatballs served with raisins are not to be missed. Those with a sweet tooth will anxiously await the arrival of the dessert-trolley which will arrive at the table in due course. The interior is light and contemporary but the atmosphere is upbeat, partly due to the loud conversations and Deluca’s roaring laughter.
