Many different countries and cultures are represented in Portland’s restaurant scene. Broder will get you acquainted with Scandinavian cuisine. Broder is Swedish for brother and the restaurant’s name is a play on words since its owner is called Peter Bro. This small restaurant is ideal for both lunch and dinner. Local ingredients are used to create the most succulent dishes. The Swedish meatballs come highly recommended as do the smoked fish and pancakes made out of potatoes. Last but not least, Scandinavians and Portlanders have a shared passion for coffee.
