The Saloon

Some say that this is San Francisco’s oldest bar! The bar itself boasts that it plays the best blues in the entire Bay Area. This might be somewhat exaggerated but we must admit that The Saloon has been busy and bustling the entire week we were in San Francisco. Sailors already frequented this bar during the 19th century to have a drink or two and to enjoy the music played.  The Saloon is a small and intimate bar that often sees live music performances over the weekend. During the week, the jukebox’s volume is cranked up and it is in no way inferior to the live bands.
