Voor het vieren van speciale gelegenheden is dit the place to be. Aan de Royal Mile, aan de linkerkant van de weg naar het kasteel, ligt verstopt tussen oude gebouwen in het hart van de historische binnenstad het prachtige The Witchery by the Castle. Het pand dateert uit 1979 en is befaamd om zijn barok interieur. Wanneer je jezelf nestelt in \u00e9\u00e9n van de rood lederen banken en de gelambriseerde plafonds en muren met wandbekleding op je laat inwerken beland je in de tijd van de oude Engelse adel. Andrew Lloyd Webber, de bekende componist, noemde The Witchery het mooiste restaurant ooit. Het restaurant is befaamd om de legendarische Angus beef steak.
