De Athos is de \u2018Heilige Berg\u2019 van de streek Agion Oros waar zo\u2019n 1400 monniken leven. Het is geen berg die je zomaar kunt beklimmen; er zit een aantal strenge regels aan vast. Ten eerste moet je een speciale toegangspas krijgen en mogen vrouwen en kinderen de rotspartij sowieso niet beklimmen. Daarnaast duurt het ongeveer een week voor je boven bent.
