Het museum biedt namelijk een verzameling van zo&#39;n zes kilometer (!) papier. <\/strong>Het bevat collecties zoals het Internationaal Museum van de Pers en persoonlijke notities van de oprichters, Paul Otlet en Henri La Fontaine. Het Mundaneum wordt vaak omschreven als &#39;de voorloper van Google&#39; en van het elektronisch opzoeken. De verzameling werd aangelegd vanaf het einde van de 19e eeuw door Otlet en La Fontaine, die ervan overtuigd waren dat betere kennis een factor was om de vrede te bewerkstelligen. In 2012 is er zelfs een samenwerking met Google opgezet.
