Het Bauhaus was een opleiding voor beeldend kunstenaars, ambachtslieden en architecten tussen 1919 en 1932. Maar wist je dat Bauhaus oorspronkelijk uit Weimar komt? Hiermee werd de stap gezet naar een nieuw designtijdperk. Om politieke redenen is het Bauhaus in 1925 uit Weimar verdreven en hebben de oprichters hun werk voortgezet in Dessau en Berlijn. Nog steeds hebben de idee\u00ebn van Bauhaus invloed op de hele wereld en in Weimar vind je nog steeds een Bauhaus Universiteit en het Haus am Horn. Deze locaties behoren inmiddels tot het UNESCO-Werelderfgoed.
