Buiten is het al een drukte van jewelste, maar binnen kom je door de drukte zelfs alleen maar schuifelend vooruit. Hier maak je kennis met het geweldige kleurenspel en de geursensatie van de meest bijzondere specerijen. Vroeger kwamen de meeste specerijen uit Egypte, wat de reden is dat de Turken nog steeds spreken van de Egyptische Bazaar. Het grote aantal kruidenwinkeltjes heeft in de loop der jaren plaats gemaakt voor sieraden- en souvenirwinkels.
