Attention all foodies! Every Saturday morning, a farmers’ market is held at Homestead Park. Independent and local farmers as well as artists sell their produce and products here which results in an extraordinary scene of dozens of colourful market stalls. This is your chance to sample great South-African delicacies at just about every stall! The OZCF Market, which stands for Oranjezicht City Market, is also a great place for children. Fun activities, such as storytelling, interactive learning about plants, crafts, yoga and many other things are organised for the market’s younger visitors. Pull up a chair at one of the long canteen-style tables to enjoy a drink, a bite to eat or to catch up with Saturday’s paper. There’s even WIFI for those that want to keep in touch with loved ones back home. Check out the market’s website before visiting as the market’s location sometimes changes.
