The International Wine Festival is the biggest gastronomic event of the year. The popular festival will be held for the 17th time in Buda Castle in early September. Wine and the culture of wine are the focus of attention. During the festival wine growers and Budapest's top restaurants present their best wines. These wines come from all over the country and sometimes also from abroad. Entertainment, such as dance and music, accompanies the wine programme. Lectures, tastings and workshops are also given.
