Up and Down the Bridges is an unusual walk up and down the bridges and through the small streets of Venice. It's an old tradition that takes place in April (the exact date varies each year). The walk starts at Piazza San Marco, where the huge group of participants is divided in two. One group does the 10 km walk over 42 bridges, while the other group does a 5 km walk over 28 bridges. The walks take you through Venice's backstreets, so there's always plenty to see!
